Pozza di Fassa is an ideal location both for those keen to spend a relaxing holiday close to nature and those who prefer to combine these elements with pure excitement. Right in the heart of the Fassa Valley, Pozza is linked to the main tourist resorts in the Dolomites by easily driveable roads; it is located just a few kilometres from the residential areas of Moena, Canazei and Campitello, which offer a calendar of events, musical entertainment, arts and crafts exhibitions, and gourmet events throughout the year.
The Parish Church of Maria Ausiliatrice, located in a lovely corner towards the edge of central Pozza di Fassa, is relatively modern in its design.
The Church San Nicolò, located at the start of the valley of the same name, is considered a good example of minor Alpine architecture with its steep sloping roof.
Traces of the past that are still visible today can be found nearby the church and across the stream. Admire its two still intact wooden doors and its rustic wooden construction that replaces an earlier barn.
The “tower”, a historic building, was once a watchtower. It has now been converted into a private home. In addition to the watchtower, this construction is also a symbol of legal authority in the valley. The prisons were housed in the building's basement.
